We provide consultancy services around the design and production of learning and development interventions. 

A common pitfall of many learning initiatives is too much focus on the delivery of content. Trainers collect all of the “knowledge” that they want the participants to acquire and then package that in a series of slides and other materials. These tangibles demonstrate that the instruction has been given – the learning activity has taken place – but they don’t necessarily have much impact on outcomes. What is of interest to the organisation is that the participants change their behaviour and generate different, better performance outcomes as a result of their learning.

When designing a learning process, rather than asking “What knowledge/content do we need to instruct them in?” our starting point is always to ask “What should these people be doing differently as a result of what they have learned?” In practical terms, this tends to lead down the path of fewer slides and more interaction, discussion, reflection and practice.

“Light touch,” or “full service”?​

Consultancy support can be as simple as being available for sparring and idea-generating sessions. Maybe you have plenty of in-house expertise and you’re just looking for different approaches and new perspectives – or a quality check on the work that you’re doing.


At the other end of the scale, we also develop and deliver full learning packages. In this case, we might typically be working with a large, international organisation, which requires assistance in putting together a complete learning programme – to be rolled out across its regions. Maybe you already have a network of facilitators in place, but you need standardised, high-quality material developed, with interactive exercises, case studies, participant material and guidance for those who will be facilitating. 


Many of our clients appreciate discretion and confidentiality – especially around the learning and development needs of their people, so we don’t “splash” logos and testimonials on our website.
